Salt, I think it can be used anywhere. Smoke salt: we use it to supply those special aromas that are created in a smokey environment. Black pepper: we use it to season steaks, soups, and all kinds of food, it is a very ancient spice. Carraway seed: it is one of the basic ingredients of Hungarian cuisine; it is used to season Hungarian stew, soups, Goulash soup, and foods that include cabbage. Smashed pepper: it is quite wide spread nowadays; they use it to season steaks. It is mixed with sea salt and finally our main spice is red paprika. We Hungarians make all kinds of food with paprika, both cold and hot meals. Just to mention a few: Goulash soup, ragus soup, Hungarian stew, different ragus, we also use it to flavor the meat for a barbecue.
