Picking Shoes for Pre-Walkers

Hi, welcome to Expert Village, I'm Gretchen Soares and today we are going to be discussing "How to shop for children's clothing." For a pre-walker or a new walker we have a couple more choices for shoes that are really good. These soft-soled shoes that don't have a hard sole on them are really good. They're great for letting the foot form naturally but yet they protect it in the home and even outside to some degree. This wouldn't necessarily be a beach or a park shoe, but walking around in the store or something that's totally fine. These are a great choice for pre-walkers and new walkers, and great for foot development. Our last choice in this store for a pre-walker or a new walker is what we call squeaky shoes. These are really great when you are trying to get your kid to walk the proper way, from heel to toe, they squeak. When the child walks properly. They were actually designed by a physical therapist that noticed that there are a lot of toe walkers out there. Kids that like to walk up on their tiptoes and that's really bad, developmentally, for a child's foot and legs. So, she wanted to see how she could get them off their toes and onto their heels. And what inspires children or gets them to do what you want them to? Something fun and annoying! So she came up with squeaky shoes. So, when the child puts their foot down and walks heel to toe, the pressure of the heel going down first gives them their squeak, which is great. It's great for teaching pre-walkers how to walk right, it's great for inspiring them to walk, they love to make noise, and they're just plain cute too. So, this is a great choice of shoes for your pre-walker.
