Baby Shower Gift Ideas for the Mother

Welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares and today we're going to do How to Shop for a Baby Shower Gift. Okay, if you're looking for a gift more for the mother, books and knick-knacks are great. Depending on how far along in her pregnancy is, some great books would be things about From Here to Maternity where it spells out the whole step of the way. Thats for someone not very far along. If they haven't chosen a name yet, name books are always fun. Some parenting type books are really good: Everyday Parenting, Baby Wise. If you know that the mother's going to feed, breastfeeding books are great. Books are always a lot of fun, especially how-to books on a first child or a new addition. That's great. Fun things I like are little photo frames because most people just take a bazillion pictures of their baby. So this is fun. This is a really great one because you have the newborn picture, but you also have twelve openings, so you can put a picture of the baby each month. But, it's also got the cutesy little stuff in it, so you can do it either way; something like that's a lot of fun. But this is stuff more that Mom would enjoy or for the nursery, that would be great. And especially if you know the theme of the nursery, that helps to pick out something to go in there very well.
