How to Use Teeth Whitening Gel

I still feel the take home one is the ideal, is the best. What do we do with the take home? One of the things that we do is, we take a mold of the patient?s teeth. The main thing is we can control it, as it's a little bit easier for the patients to work with. One of the first step is we take a mold. Once the mold is taken, we fabricate a custom whitening tray. The whitening tray is basically a plastic tray that molds to the patients teeth. When the patients use it, it just fits right on to their teeth. Where do we put the gel? Right on the inside part of the tooth. Basically, once the gel is placed into the tray, the tray is snapped onto the patient's teeth, and then kind of press on it to make sure the fit is tight. If there's any excess or ooze out, you just take the brush to remove them. The nice thing about the tray is that it basically seals the area and it holds it tight on the enamel and not loose and allowed to fall onto the gum or onto the root portion, which does cause sensitivity.
