Finishing Applique Bags

Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are working on our applique, our sewing applique. Keep going all the way around, and you have to be patient when you do a shape like this, and again, if this is your first time sewing or if you're just a beginner, you can go ahead and pick something that's easier, like a square or a rectangle, anything like that. And I'm just about done, I'm just going to go all the way around, guiding my fabric. Make sure again that you're patient, that you don't go too crazy and start going at rapid speed. Okay, and then don't forget that you have to go a couple steps back to create a knot. And that's it. And then pull it out. We can take our pins out and cut off any excess thread. And there you go, a cute little heart on a bag and it's going to make a great little Valentine collection bag for my friend's little one. So as you can see there are many different choices when you're creating applique projects. The possibilities are endless and you're limited only by your own creativity so go out there and give it a try.
