Cutting a Heart Applique
Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making our little sew on applique. You can create an applique out of even just a little scrap of fabric, anything that you have left over. And I'm going to make a heart out of fleece, I happen to love hearts, but you can make whatever shape you want. You can make flowers or animals or letters, whatever you want. I'm going to go ahead and fold my fabric in half and then I'm just going to cut the heart out, just going around, and again, if you fold your fabric in half then your heart's going to be nice and even. Like that, and I have a little edge to clean up here. But the nice thing about fleece is it doesn't really unravel and so you can go ahead and sew it on and it's going to have a really nice, clean look to it. And there you go, there's a cute little heart and I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to sew it on to here. I?m going to get my machine fired up so you can get your machine ready and I'll see you at the next clip.
