Supplies for Iron On Applique

Hi. I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are doing our applique projects. We've gone ahead and done a banner and then our little heart shirt, and next we are going to do an iron on transfer for shirts. And this actually entails using some iron on transfer paper that you can get at many different stores. You can get it online, you can get it at office stores, discount stores, and crafting and fabric stores as well. So for this project we're going to need some paper, you're going to need a shirt or whatever item you want to transfer your art onto, and you're going to need an iron and a pair of scissors. Also, you're going to need a computer. The way that this works is you either create in a page making document, or page making program, or document making program. You create whatever it is you want. You can even do a picture if you want, and you print it out on your color printer. And there are two different kinds of transfer paper. There are light colored ones for to transfer on to light shirts or light items, and then there's also dark transfer paper now. Make sure that you follow the directions for whatever product it is that you buy because they probably will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Okay, so we'll see you at the next clip and I'll show you how to cut and fuse this.
