Cutting an Applique Heart
Hi I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are working on our little heart appliqui for our baby shirt. So I've gone ahead and I've fused some transfer paper onto some of my fabric and I only did it to whatever size I needed to make the heart. Okay so we're just going to go ahead and cut up to the edge and now we have our fabric and as you can see it's a little firmer and we're going to go ahead and put our heart on there. And pin that down. And then we're going to go ahead and cut it out and your going to use your paper scissors. Again don't use your fabric scissors we still have the paper from the transfer paper on here. We're going to peel it off in a minute but not yet. Okay so now we're just going to take our scissors and just cut right around the shape. And I'm going to turn it toward me so I can see what I'm doing here. You can see that I'm just going right along the edge. Okay so I'm just about done here. Alright now we take out our pin and take a look and see. That's a cute little heart, and now we're going to peel off the back and we're going to go ahead and fuse it onto the shirt. So I'll see you at the next clip and I'll show you how.
