Cutting an Applique Banner
Hi, I'm Karina Fraley from Expert Village and we are making our Expert Village banner. I'd go ahead and already cut my banner out. I'd freehand cut it. There are a couple options of what you can do. You can either go online and print out some sort of banner that you then can trace or you can just measure however big you want your banner. My banner is, let me measure it and let you know, my banner is 7 inches by 12. So you can go ahead and just measure something like that and then cut it or if you know how big your letters are going to be and much room they're going to take up and you're good at eyeballing, you can just freehand cut it. So, the way that you do that is just start with a rectangle, very simple, start with rectangle like that and then you just start from one end and you cut a triangle so that you're going all the way to end like that. And then you can flip it over and start at the other end to meet the triangle there, and it might take a couple tries but that's pretty good. So there if you have your little banner and that's how you cut it. It's very simple and we're just going to stick our letters onto there. So, come back the next clip and I'll show you how.
