Flying Tips for Paper Airplanes
So we've finished our plane. I'm going to go back through one more time with this stock paper and we're going to make a plane real quick. So again, first fold is a triangle. Make sure you have good sharp creases. Then make another triangles by brining the left side to meet the right. Give you a house type shape. Next, you open the plane, push in the sides. We're making an inverted triangle to the one we just made. Again, with the thicker paper, is it a little tougher to get the nose exactly right, so you may have to play with it a little bit. Push down the sides and flatten the plane like so. Next step is to bring in the edges. Making another triangle here which this will be the diamond shape which will be the head of the plane or the nose of the plane. Next you take the triangle you just made, cut it off by bringing it down towards you. Same with the other side. Next, you're pulling the nose down, not directly on top, you need a little space, just like this, don't bring it down all the way to meet in the point. Maybe about a quarter of an inch above. You'll have two pockets here in which these little flaps will be inserted on each side. Now you have your finger holster and the last thing to do is to create the flaps on the wings. And any sort of resistance or any other embellishments you'd like to make to the plane. And the plane is now done. You can decorate it or do whatever else you want to it, but the shape is done and we're ready to fly.
