The first loop knot we'll do is the servant?s one, it's the easiest one. I'll demonstrate with the rope here. Basically, you just take whatever material that you're wanting to put a loop in. Double it over and do an overhand knotting, like so. Easiest possible way to make a loop. It's also sort of bulky and it's not the strongest loop in the world but it will definitely work. And that's pretty easy, so that's how it's done, you know, with something heavy. You can do it in your backing to attach your backing to a fly line. Usually, you'll want to make a pretty good sized loop so just, you know, get yourself plenty of room here, fold it over, run it through, looks like so, pull it tight. Nothing to it, and unbelievably that is, it's done, it's pretty tight, pretty strong knot. Once again, you always want to clip those tags off. With this one, you can still clip it as close as you want to the knot. You can also do it in your liter, to make a loop to attach that liter to your fly line if you already have a loop in your fly line. Fold it over, pull it tight. And once you can see, it is a little bit bulky, you know, once you tie it tight. But, it's quick, it's easy, and it works.
