Hi, I'm Austin McBride with Exeprt Village. Today I'm showing you how to break dance. When preparing to learn how to break dance one of the key things your going to want to learn how to do is how to balance, how to balance and gain control of your body and how to manipulate your body. So, a few exercises we can do to kind of gain balance and learn to control our bodies is perhaps some techniques we use in exercises such as palettes maybe, even yoga. So, here's how it looks. The first one I'm going to show you involves keeping my body straight. I'm going to lean back and practice putting my feet up in the air, holding my lower back with my arms and just keeping in a resting position while my feet are straight up in the air. Here is how it looks. That's an exercise that will get us use to some of the power moves and some of the floor work we will learn later on. Another, exercise is something called the scissors which all so looks like that except your swiveling your legs around in the air once you get into that position. So those are a couple of exercises to practice maintaining some balance.
