About Line to Line Knots in Fly Fishing

Next thing we're going to talk about is line to line connections, where you're having to tie one piece of line to another piece of line. They could be the same type of line, whether it's two pieces of backing, maybe you've got a break in your backing and you need to retie it, you had a rough spot and you had to cut it out, or you're tying two pieces of monofilament together, or maybe you're trying to tie a heavier piece of monofilament to a lighter piece of monofilament to make a leader, or whatever. But basically, there's a bunch of different ways you can attach two pieces of similar, or dissimilar line together. And this applies to fly fishing, whether you're rigging your gear up or conventional tackle, whether you're tying a heavier piece of monofilament for a bite guard for a leader on a spinning rod or a casting rod, or just tying your tippet to the end of your leader. Those are all line-to-line connections.
