Hello how are you doing today? I am Geoff Sterling of Hollywood Soo Bahk Do and what I a going to be showing you right now is a front leg hook kick. What a front leg hook kick is about is it is really quick. You may be sacrificing some power but you gain in speed. So it is something you could use quickly to distract someone you are sparring with. It is a good setup for something else. If you are point sparring it is a great way to score a point and it is really quick and you get more range with it. You get more range with a back leg hook kick so to demonstrate this I am going to bring in Muhumad Husan a fellow practitioner of Soo Bahk Do. The way to demonstrate right now is he is going to pick up the front leg and he is going to hook around using the hip. A great way to go hot. It is a great way to stroke the face. He is going to demonstrate now at regular speed and you see you still get a lot of power from it so it is great. Another great thing about the kick is you can follow up with the roundhouse which I demonstrated earlier so it is a good combination. If you are coming with the hook kick. A lot of times let's say he throws the hook kick I see it coming and I block. I leave the back side of my face open and he can use the roundhouse kick again which actually does hit me. So what the hook kick did not get somebody else would get afterwards. So it is a great move to set up something else. That right there was a front leg hook kick and thank you for watching Expert Village and Hollywood Soo Bahk Do.
