Preparing Headpins for Beaded Jewelry
Hi I'm Robin with trees-mom.com and we're making a video for Expert Village. We have already made a photo holder, a bracelet, and an ID. badge holder. I just want to talk a little bit more about the head pins that you use to make your dangles. You can buy them in the store that is already head pins. They have a little flat thing on the top. Or, you can get them with some fun decorative things on the top but they are kind of expensive. If you want to go ahead and do that that's a great way to do it. The ones that we made for our dangles are spirals. Another way that you can do that is to just fold over the edge and kind of smash it together. Then you'll just have a little tiny loop at the bottom of your beads. Another way that you can do it if you're using sterling silver wire that you can just get at a craft store, or a rock shop is where I get mine, you can put it in a flame. The end in a flame and it'll pop and it'll make a little bulb on the end. It makes a really nice head pin. The head pins are what we use to make our dangles. Again, after you make the end, just put your bead on. You can make these out of any kind of beads and we've just made an angel dangle. That's it for the head pins. I hope you enjoy making your beaded jewelry.
