Making Boppy Cover Bar Loops

Hi welcome to Expert Village I'm Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. Okay now we're going to make the loops for the toy bar to attach to the Boppy and I find that grosgrain ribbon folded twice works really well it's nice and sturdy yet not harsh to the baby. So I just take the grosgrain and with our sewing machine back on a normal setting we're going to just run a seam down this. And again down the second side. Okay now we're going to come up here to our boppy cover, we're going to measure how long the loop is, double it and add about an inch for the seam allowance. And we're going to need four of those. So lets make sure that we have enough. One, two, three, and four perfect. And we're going to take these and we're going to fold them in half and pin them approximately where they are on this other one. Because this is a toy bar and it's not, it doesn't have to be precise they just have to go approximately in the same position. Now that those are in their proper place we are going to put the second piece over the top right sides together. We're going to zip the zipper. It's very important to zip it all the way when you're lining it up, but it's equally important to remember to unzip it before you sew it all the way shut. And now we're going to pin the edges together so that we can see where we're sewing.
