Cutting Boppy Pillow Cover Material
Hi. Welcome to Expert Village. I am Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. Ok, now that our fabric has been washed and dried and ironed and if we?re using cotton. We are ready to lay it out. We?re going to put, we're going to lay it flat with the wrong sides together. Make sure there?s no creases on the bottom side and that the salvages match up because that means we?re on grain or straight. Next were going to actually fold this in half one more time because our pattern needs to be cut on a fold line. So again making sure it?s all straight laying it out. And that their salvages match up. We?re going to place our pattern on our fabric. This is the line that needs to be cut on the fold. We?re going to put a couple pins in it to hold it in place. You want pin up well into the Fabric, into the pattern piece. At least an inch away from the edge so it doesn?t rip when cutting it. And so that you don?t catch the pins with your scissors. Ok, we?re going to turn this so it?s actually on the table better. And now we are ready to cut. And we are going to cut just following the lines of the pattern. This pattern actually has a seam allowance included in it. So we?re going to cut just along the edge. And this is the pieces we are going to use. We can go ahead and removed the pins. Remove that pattern piece and we have two kidney bean shaped pieces of fabric.
