How to Finish a Gainer

Alright so we've learned all those various tips and techniques on how to do the gainer. So let's put it all together. And do the finished product. Now we're going to run and I've already shown you all the steps in between but the one part that connects everything really is when you kick out to give with your left leg to arch backwards and give yourself a little explosiveness to move your body upwards. So as this leg kicks upwards and pulls inwards to rotate you, you need to use your back, arch your back, sort of whip it to give yourself that momentum, and your left leg kick up and out a little bit as it leaves the ground. So let's tie it all together and show you a completed gainer. And let's do one from over here to see everything coupled together. So notice how my back arches and I'm basically looking through to the direction I want to land in and when I come through I land with both feet planted and it's OK sometimes for our weight to be shifted a little bit if you're rotating a really fast speed. But it is important for that explosiveness for everything to really come together at the same time. Because if you're exploding and bringing this leg back, and arching but at different times your synchronization is going to be off. Everything should really happen at the same time, which will help you fully circle back and land on both feet. And that's how we do a gainer.
