How to Mount Tom Toms on Cymbal Stand

Another type of mounting that includes both good and bad ways to do it, when we're talking about acoustic resonance, is mounting toms on a cymbal stand, which is what I like to do. If I were to mount both of these on my bass drum, I would basically have one here and one here. And that's not really ideal for me because like I mentioned, I play open handed with my left hand on the hi-hat and my right hand on the snare. And it's great to be able to have my drum right there. So what I've done is, I've gotten the same type and I find these to be the best way, the best types of clamps to mount toms on a cymbal stand. The same type of ball bearing that I have over here on my bass drum mounted toms and over here on my cymbal mounted floor tom. And it's very straight forward, all I'm going to do is just loosen this, slide it right on and tighten it. And I definitely want to make sure to adjust it so that it's not touching any other toms. And when I get the angles level, and this for me really works great. I'm going to get good resonance. And it's going to be positioned exactly where I want it. So I have one mounted floor tom, one bass drum mounted tom, and one cymbal mounted ten inch tom. And these all work great for me, and they all have really great resonance. So this is going to be going along with our proper acoustic mounting.
