Setting Up For an Aerial

O.K. to set up for the aerial you're going to need a little bit of running space. Um, some people basically only need to take a few steps. Like one step and a skip and go into it. Um for some people it's also easier if you have a little bit more running because that gives you more momentum. So, let's take a look at if we do need a little more space for running. You might want to take a couple of steps. Whatever is most convenient for your own foothold. A few steps and then at the end you still want to skip to plant your feet and lead into the aerial. So, let me just show you that final part. Basically, let's just say we take one step, then we skip to plant our feet. We're still drawing from the momentum of our run and then we lead into the aerial. Now, you want to be able to lift up your right leg as high as possible because that's going to help you kick over to do the aerial. So let's take a look one more time, like so. So that's how we are going to set up for the aerial.
