Eating Healthy with Sourdough Bread

Hey there, again. We've got another fermented food. I know, you can't believe it. There's so many. But, we're just going to do the main ones of course. Next one is sourdough. And, it's actually warming up in my oven right now because, I love warm bread. It's so delicious and it smells so good and it is actually whole wheat. So, it's very nutritious and has lots of nutrition and lot of Vitamin E. I've actually done a little trick here which has nothing to do with the whole sourdough fermented thing. But, I keep it in a little napkin to keep everything warm and it comes out all nice and toasty and delicious. And, you can dip it in olive oil which is extra healthy too and a little balsamic vinegar. Once thing I love about sourdough is, is the fact that it actually has live bacteria in here too. And, that's how it's made. It actually is naturally rises on its own. So, it doesn't even need the added yeast. Which added yeast in conventional breads, have actually been linked to all sorts of things like stomach bloats and digestive issues and all that. There's another thing in here that I bet you didn't know about. It's an anti-nutrient. It's deep inside, but not in this bread. Only in the regular conventional bread and it?s called fictic acid. It actually binds to all kinds of minerals. It won't let you absorb them properly. So, this is an even better reason to use your sourdough bread. Not only is it more nutritious and warm and delicious, but it's healthier for you too. Enjoy.
