How to Combine Flavors in Healthy Eating

Hey there! We're back again and you are too with me, with the fermented foods. Ok, so I've showed you a couple things. I even showed you how to make a fermented condiment. But, did you know what really happens when you stick that Tzatziki after you've freshly made it and put it in the refrigerator? Well, it's kind of interesting. It goes through a bunch of different processes. Basically, all those live bacteria that are in there. They?re busy eating away at the cucumber and the garlic and anything else that you put in there like dill. I have some people who even put carrots. But, it makes all the foods not only in there much more easily digestible. But, all the nutrients that you put in there that the bacteria is eating away, it actually enhances all those nutrients. So, you're going to have a lot more Vitamin A from the carrot. You're going to have a lot more bang for your buck from the garlic and everything else like that. So, it's so much more enhancing for you. And, all it does is just sit there and eat away at the sugars. And, the sugars from the vegetables and anything else that you put in there, you can do fruit also in your yogurt and put that in the fridge. But, it helps eat at the sugars. Because that's the bacteria's source of food. And, it's great. Because, if you do put like fruit in yogurt and you put it in the fridge and leave it for a day or two it actually has less sugars in the fruit. But, yet it still has a sweet flavor to it. And, you still have that nice tart flavor of the yogurt and the benefits of the fruits are so much more enhanced. And, that's what so great about fermented foods and their little process that they go through. So, enjoy them. You'll get a lot more benefit out of them.
