Twist Tips in Martial Arts Moves

"So now were getting to the part we've all been waiting for, the Twist. So we've built up from the setup to the dip to the jump and now the part that we all want to do, is the Twist. so as we go down, we jump up. Now what we need to do here is basically bring our arms, there's different styles but the most simple style to practice at first and help you get that rotation, is bring your arm closer to your body in a motion that goes towards the direction you want to twist. So, as I'm in the air, I would be bringing this around and basically using this shoulder. Not pushing too hard but just closing your body, keeping it tight. So there are less objects flailing around and prohibiting you, in the air. So, as you pull this over you also want to squeeze your legs in and that squeezing momentum will help turn your body 360 degrees. so let's take a look. I'm going to do one just from here, from when were in the fourth stance, doing it standing basically without the running, just for you to see the jump into the twist. so, take a look. We dip and we jump, and we bring this leg up and than we squeeze. So I'll do one from here as well. Dip than jump than squeeze. There you have it, The Twist.
