Space for a Butterfly Twist

For today's butterfly twist movement I guess the gear that you really need is just yourself. But take into account the clothing that you wear is going to be important. Now I like to wear some comfortable yet loose clothing because as you're moving around and twisting you don't want the pants to be too tight or restrictive. And you also don't want them to be too long, as you may slip. So you want to be able to, you know, move around freely, be able to do some kicks and so, so you can jump into the movement readily. Also, the amount of space you need, if you take a look here, you want to be able to have a good seven or eight or nine steps even. Because as you're running through the movement it's going to be, take a few steps and skips, and what not. And you don't want to have a wall right here because you might crash into it. So definitely you want to be in a very open space and you need to take a look at your surroundings that there's nothing around on the floor. And lastly, I'd like to say that you do need to have shoes for this movement, especially if it's your first time, if you're training outdoors. If you're training indoors on a gymnastics mat or carpet then it's a little bit better. However, it's always best to have some support on your feet when you're doing movements like this to protect your ankles as well.
