How to Remove Windshield Wiper Blades
Hi! My name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about removal of the various types of wiper blades. On this particular vehicle, this Ford here, the wiper blade is removed by rotating the arm up, twisting the wiper blade perpendicular to the arm that exposes a small tab on the back of the blade which is depressed and the blade is slid off the arm just like so. Once you have the blade removed it is a good idea to set the arm back in its normal position. These are spring loaded pretty tightly and can crack your windshield if they pop down. On this particular car here, it has another style of mounting device. This is a General Motors vehicle here and the way the wiper blade mounts has a pin that runs through the blade assembly. The hardware locks down over that blade. I like to use a small pick, just insert it right there and pop it out just like so. Rotate the hardware out of the way and the blade can be removed from its mounting pin just like so.
