How to Slow Down a Child's Eating

Hi, I'm back. You know another great tip is for your child, for their health and their nutrition and basically making sure that they digest well, excuse me, and get all their nutrients absorbed into their body so they can get really proper, good brain and body development, is making sure that they just slow it down. You know kids, they're racing and running and they're all over the place, but they get these nutritious foods in front of them and they want to go off to go play and eat again, excuse me go play again, so they're not thinking about food or anything more than gobbling it down. So basically what you want to do is try and get your child to slow down. Make a game of it, making sure they slow down and actually chew their food. Basically, when you chew their food, it actually starts their stomachs and ours too, and gets it activated. It gets that stomach activated and the juices start forming because of the chewing action in the mouth and the salt in the food gets the hydrochloric acid in there to help digest the meal. So, once they swallow it, it actually starts absorbing and the slower they eat, the less they'll eat, so this way they?re not eating a ton, a ton of food because the more you pack in there, the less, the harder your stomach can digest it and your child's little tiny digestive system just is not set up for a ton of food to be shoved in there. So slow it down, make sure they chew, and say hey do it thirty times. How many times can you chew your food? How many times do you get broccoli? How many times can you chew your bread and sandwich and everything else? Just making sure they slow it down. It's really helpful and it's a good tip for your child and their healthy digestion.
