Bizarre Swallowing Stories

Two cases of unusual swallowing. First from Brisbane, Australia. We have the case of Augusta, the carpet python. She slithered in to the hen house and swallowed four golf balls. Now you ask, what were golf balls doing in the hen house? Well the owners were trying to induce their hens to lay eggs by putting the golf balls in there. Now the poor snake was choking to death on those golf balls. She was taken to a vet who surgically extricated them, then placed them on EBay. But unbelievably there were five hundred plus bids for those snake ingested golf balls. The final price, twelve hundred and fifty-three dollars. Beyond belief. Now, let's go to Staffordshire, England and the case of Taffy the dog. She recently swallowed a pair of the owner's sons' pants, his underwear. And she was choking to death on them. Now Taffy has a habit of chewing on clothing. This was the thirty-ninth pair of undies that the dog had ingested. She's also ingested three hundred pairs of socks. It just can't stay away from those clothes. But in each case, those items passed safely through the dog. But this time, the panties were not. But her owner is a veterinarian, and surgically removed them. They're hoping that Taffy will stay away from the clothes. But they know it's not likely. So, she may need further surgery. Two unusual cases of swallowing, for your consideration.
