Sewing Inserts to Skirts

Hi. I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. In this next step, we're going to sew our fabric to our pants. So, we're going to start at the very top point of the triangle and you're going to sew with your matching color thread and you're going to do a simple stitch. You're going to sew a few times forward, right on your seam line and then you're going to sew a few times backwards and you always want to make sure you go backwards and forwards because you want to make sure that you really secure in those first few seams. Start sewing all the way down your seam pulling out your pins as you go and always checking to make sure that you have even stitches. And when you get to the bottom, you're going to do the same thing that you did at the top. You're going to press this side button and go backwards. You're going to go forwards all the way to the bottom, and backwards and forwards again and backwards again, just a few times to secure your stitches. So, you're going to sew both sides of the triangle. Make sure that you don?t have a hole. Sew it over later. Okay.
