Hi, it's Tom Choisnet, enrolled agent. I'm going to go into "Medical, Part 2", and give you a few more ideas of the things that can be deductible. I've isolated some things that you may not have thought of, or, certainly it doesn't hurt to remind you that they are deductible. These things include such things as acupuncture, rehab, prescribed spa, and the rule on that is that such things as spas and whirlpools and so on, are deductible if they don't increase the value of your home. The services likes to refer to "not permanently added to your home", but many times they don't increase the value, so they may be deductible. Cosmetic surgery to ameliorate deformity is deductible. And, special equipment for the deaf and blind, so if a person has such an infirmity, take a little look around, and there might be more there deductible than would meet the first glance. And weight loss is deductible, that is, weight loss program, only if they're for a specific disease, but given this day and age of type two diabetes and obesity, on a much stricter scale than in my youth, we're going to see more deductions there. I hope this has helped in enabling you to gather your information about medical. Thank you.
