Hi. Welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. Okay, now that we have our shoulder seams sewn, we need to go ahead and press those seams flat and open. We're going to have the iron on a cotton setting since this is cotton flannel, and use lots of steam because steam is what keeps things set in permanently, and again, pressing the seams open on the shoulder. Once we have the seams pressed open on the shoulder seams, we're going to lay the first piece face down on the ironing board and then we are going to take the second piece and we're going to lay it face up, directly on top of it, matching up your shoulder seams so that they are lined up right over each other. And then we are going to take the iron on a high steam setting on cotton and press the two pieces together. We are going to count on the natural static electricity of the fabric to hold it together while we work on the next step, so we want to give it a nice, good press. And then we want to leave it on the ironing board until it's cool to the touch.
