Picking Bead Colors & Wire for Bracelets
Hi. I'm Melina and I'm with Expert Village and I'm going to show you how to make a beautiful transfer polymer bracelet. The next step is to select bead colors that are going to match the beads that you make. So, since I have this little rosta piece on here and I have some yellow in my heart I chose rosta colors. I have green, yellow, red, black. And I've got a little bit of clear. And the reason I got clear is because I want to pick a color that's kind of whitish or clearish that's going to combine the beads with the beads that I make. You always want your colors to tie in. We're going to take our beading wire and we're going to measure the length of our bracelet. And, if it's for you, you can just go ahead and wrap it around your wrist. If it's not for you I would go ahead and make it about 6, 7 inches. That's probably standard. So once you have your wire selected, you're going to cut it with about an inch extra on each side. It's always better to have something too long than too short. You can always trim it, but you can never add to it once it's made. Once you have your wire you're going to lay it out next to your beads. Do just a little bit of calculating to see how much beads you'll need in the middle. And since I have seed beads, which are these tiny little beads, it looks like I can do one of each color in between each of the beads that I make.
