Tae Kwon Do 540 Kick Body Positioning

Hi my name is Caleb Labarda. I am a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and I am here with Expert Village and today I am going to be teaching you to do a 540. O'kay now we are going to be talking to you about body positioning in the air. It is important that you have the correct positioning if you are too sloppy or too loose your body is going to be wobbly and you are not going to be able to make it around. You are supposed to have a nice tight body as you do it. So when you go into your 540 you are in the air and you should be in this position. We are going to do it with the round kick first. Round kick, your arms should be here and your legs should be ahead of your body. Your bottom leg is going to be tucked. You should be looking and this is what your body position should be until your foot lands. Now when your foot lands you are just going to go on to your foot, make sure you have a nice tight foot so you don't pull any muscles or twist any tendons or anything at your ankle because all that weight is coming down to your ankle. Once again with body positioning you jump, do the 540, your arms will come around and a lot of people like for it to look sharp so they have their guards like this all the way in the air when they come around for the 540. That is going to be your body positioning for your 540.
