Hi! I’m Jim McKelvey with Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis. You can check us out on the web at www.stlglass.com. Today, we’re going to learn about glassblowing for expertvillage.com. Well now that we have a gather, let’s talk about how to get a starter bubble going. If you’ve gathered correctly and have held the pipe down at the right angle, the glass should form a nice, even sort of bullet shape without you having to do anything. It’s also very good to come here to the marver and roll it a little bit to straighten everything up. Once it’s on center, you blow in cap. In a couple of seconds you see that bubble come right into the bottom of the glass.
Really good. Jim takes his time and explains well.Good close-up's.
