Making a Heart Insert for Valentine's Day Crafts

Hi. I'm Amy Warkentien from Expert Village and we're on step two of our window card. And we're going to put what's going to behind the window which is a pretty piece of colored paper. It costs $1 to $2 at the craft store. And to make sure that we get it the right size we're going to turn it over. We're not going to mark on our pretty paper. We're going to mark on the back side. So, take a pencil and trace around your heart that you already have cut out on your card. And then go ahead and cut it out. I'm going to use these nice looking scissors. I'm going to cut away from where this is, a little bit larger, so that it'll be easier to place it inside the card. And then after we have this finished we're going to glue it down with a glue stick. Make sure to not give kids too much leverage on the glue stick because they'll go a little crazy and it will get everywhere. So, just crank it up just a little and go ahead and put it on the back side of your paper. And we're going to stick it in here. So just make sure to look and make sure that it's going to cover it up. And then go ahead and stick it down and give it a little time to dry. And you've got that step done.
