Rotary Tools for RC Model Workshop

Hi, my name's Curtis Enlow and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to plan, setup and equip a work area for radio controlled models. Ok, let's talk about power tools. One of the old standards is the Dremel motor tools and these can be great. Its not an absolute necessity for this type of hobby, but they can sure come in handy a lot of times. The thing that you really want to be careful about is whether you're cutting or grinding or sanding, is that these tools can take off a lot of material very quickly and you can find yourself ruining a part. Its better to go slowly, methodically by hand if necessary. Depending on the aspect of the hobby you're getting into though, you can do some amazing tools with Dremels. They come with quite a variety of different accessories, different bits, grinders, metal bits, sanding disc, cutoff wheels, saws, a huge variety of things you can do with them. Now, on occasion you may need to go back to the old, big standard home type drills, power tools, but generally the parts that you're going to be working with are so small and so delicate that this would probably be overkill for just about anything you might do in RC modeling anyway.
