How to Be Involved in a Child's Learning

Hi, I'm Pam on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to teach you how to bring home fundamentals learned at school. Many parents aren't involved in the programs at the daycare centers that their children are involved in because they don't know how to be involved. There's lots of ways that you can be involved. For instance, say you have a lot of junk lying around the house, an old pair of sunglasses that you wanted to throw out, some old scarves that you never wear anymore, fabric that isn't used, ribbon, yarn, old wrapping paper. Kids will love this, it?s great. These scarves are great for the music center, these glasses are great for dramatic play. Scraps can go in the art area, kids are going to love to just make collages out of. Any type of object that can just be used for sorting, classifying, counting. Such as old buttons, shells, bottle caps, anything that is small, well it doesn't even have to be small. If it can be used for color classification, counting, anything like that it can be great for a kid. Props for dramatic play are the easiest way for parents to clean out their closets and yet kids will love it. They'll have a field day, old shoes, hats, anything. Any old games or books
