Advice for Deciding on Bicycle Warranties

Hi, I'm Mark, I'm here with Expert Village at the Competitive Edge Cyclery in Upton to explain how to buy a quality bike from a bike shop. The more features you have on the bike, the higher the price goes. For instance, if you have a mountain bike that has a front and rear shock, those generally start in the $700 to $800 range and then they work on up. I would say the average price for a front and rear suspension bike would be about $1500. Definitely money well spent. Very fun, just enjoyable. If you stay with one of the better brands at a bike store, you will get a bike that will be backed up by the manufacturer, in most cases lifetime warranty on the frame and a year on the parts. If anything is going to happen, usually we notice it out of the box if it's a damaged item or within the first couple rides. But for the most part, when you buy a quality bike, very, very few problems.
