Hi, I'm Mark, I'm here with Expert Village at the Competitive Edge Cyclery in Upton to explain how to buy a quality bike from a bike shop. Bike riding isn't just for adults. A lot of kids are also enjoying bikes nowadays. Most kids, up until the age of twelve or thirteen, generally want more of the BMX style bikes. BMX style bikes will come in a wide range of sizes, sixteen inch or twenty inch or even twenty-four inch size bikes. The nice thing about buying a bike from a bike store is the fact that you will be getting a good brand and most of these bikes, for instance on this free agent, has a lifetime warranty on the frame. It's a better bike. They will come in different colors, they will come in all kinds of different models and brands. Generally you're going to spend anywhere from about $175 on up to $500, $600. I think the biggest part about riding bikes for kids is the fact that they don't have to rely on their parents and they can ride around in the neighborhood or if they want to go down to the school, they can do that. They go to their friends house, it takes a lot of pressure off the parents. And they also like to get out there and go off jumps, that's a biggie with these kids. It's just a good sport.
