How to Get New Computer Upgrades

Hi, this is Douglas Willott on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to talk about how to decide between purchasing a PC or a Mac. Alright, you've enjoyed having your PC or your Mac for a couple of years. But, you realize it's time to upgrade. Maybe it's even only been a few months and you know you want to upgrade your graphics card or you want to have more memory. Both machines are upgradeable. But, when it's time to upgrade or get a new machine, you should be paying attention. You may want to switch back from a PC to a Mac or from a Mac to a PC. With computers being the way they are, and being such a competitive market, the PCs are going out of their way to keep up with Macintosh, which as of late, has been taking a chunk out of the market. So, they've been upping their game, so to speak. They've been getting better programs; they've been becoming more user friendly and a lot safer. At the same time, Macintosh, which also wants to continue on its growth streak, has been pushing its systems, has been pushing its computers in a ways and it's been trying to stay ahead of PCs in a lot of ways. That way it can keep on grabbing that market share and increasing the amount of customers that are there. Be sure to research, whatever year you're buying the computer, which one is best for your needs. Things can change, and new systems and technologies can trump the other system at any given point. If you're just looking to upgrade your computer, such as memory, graphics card, etc., this is one area PC has an advantage over a Mac. It's a lot easier to upgrade that yourself just by plugging the items into your motherboard or adding more RAM into RAM slots on your motherboard. There are ways to upgrade a Mac, but you usually have to take it into a Mac store to do it. Or, if you purchase the parts yourself, it's a lot harder to find online how to do it yourself. It's not as user friendly to upgrade. But, it can be done.
