How to Promote a One Woman Show

Hi. Welcome back to Expert Village. My name is Kat Litrenta and I am a professional entertainer. And through this whole segment, I've been showing you how you can do a character just from the 50's. Now, we've produced our CD. We've got our makeup. We've got our hair and our costume. And now, what we need to do is book it. How do you book it? Well, don't be against doing a couple of shows out there for free. Look up a charity group, maybe they're having an event. And, when you are seen on that stage, other people in the audience will pick you up for paying jobs. That's what I've done and it always worked for me. You could pick up an agent. I get a few jobs from agents. Or you might consider putting a website together of many different characters that you know how to do. Now the 50's show, is a show unlike the holiday show or the Irish show, which is just geared for one particular holiday. The 50's show is all year long, 365 days a year. And the bulk of the people, who are out there, all those baby boomers, are loving this show. So, put a little effort into right now and you can run for quite a while with this show. Thanks for watching.
