Hi. Thanks for coming back to Expert Village. My name is Kat Litrenta and I'm a professional entertainer. In this segment, we're talking about putting together a dynamite 50's show. And we've selected the music, now we need to go into the studio. How do I find a good studio? Ask around. You have other people in the entertainment business that you know. Ask him maybe for a reference list, somebody who have used him or her before and listen to what they've gotten for a production tape or CD. That's what I would do. Now, I found mine, who is a piano player, and in between gigs, his thing is putting together other people's gigs. So, I found a great guy. I go into his house and he's got computers. He grabs the music off of my CD or my tape and he can put it into the computer. He can take off the hiss and he can make it slower, or change the pitch. You've got to be careful when you select because you might have selected something that's way too high. I mean Shania Twain, where is she going to go? I can't sing that high. You've got to pick people who are basically in your vocal range. And prices. I don't want you to get taken. A regular studio wants as much as $200.00 an hour. If you can find a friend who has used a guy or gal that has a studio in their home, you?re liable to only pay $45.00 or $50.00 an hour. And if you go in prepared as I told you to, you won't pay a lot and you'll come out with a wonderful CD that's your own production of your songs, in your range. Music minus one for your show. It'll be great.
