The Air Walk Move in Hip Hop Dancing

Hi, I'm Bulletyme, dance choreographer here in L.A. here on behalf of Expert Village and in this video we're going to learn how to do an Air Walk. We already learned the basic foot drag, and all an air walk is, is just that without stepping on the floor. Take a look. So you start by stepping forward with the right leg just like last time and dragging back. Left leg forward and then you drag it back. So for the air walk, all you're going to do is not touch the floor with that foot and you're going to lift up the standing leg up onto the heel, lift the heel up off the floor and gently place that foot down to make that illusion like you're walking on air. That's why it's called the air walk. Let's try the left leg, step it out, but don't touch the floor, lift the standing leg as you pull it back in again the right leg steps out but it doesn't touch the floor, lift the heel of the left foot as you bring it back, and notice how this foot is already bent up, it's because it's prepared to step out one more time. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and if you go forward with that it looks like you're walking on air and all that is, is a step, a drag, a step, a drag, a basic with a little flair added to it to make your dance just that much more special. There you go.
