Clapping to the Beat in Dance Music

Hi I'm Bulletyme, dance choreographer here in L.A. on behalf of Expert Village and for this video we'll be following along to the rhythm of the main drum line of this particular song and we are going to clap it out, each drum that you hear. I'm going to press play and let you listen to it for a while, a very short while. (music playing) So the bass of that is a one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. So whenever you hear your instructor says one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. They're counting that underlying rhythm of the music but there are a lot of things happening over that, that you can also pay attention to. Such as these drums right here. (music playing) One, two, (claps hands 3 times) one, two, one two, one, two, and you can play with all that. Follow the bass (claps hands) one, two, three, four, five, six, see how you can play with that? You can stop before the eight and still continue with just the drums. There are also the lyrics of the artist singing the song, you can't clap that out but you get the idea. (music still playing).
