I'm Tony Ramirez from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village this is how to build a CD rack. In my case a media rack. Let's go! Now I'm going to miss with the side panels that I?m actually going to use to hold the CDs and DVDs in place. As I mention before this scrap wood that I had for a bed frame. So it has some holes and things like that but it does not really matter. But it is just over 6 1/2 feet long but what I'm going to do is every 2 feet I'm actually going to put these little brackets. It would be attached to the wood of course and then these pieces would go into the wall to actually hold in place. So it is very simple. I would just keep the edge of it flushed with the wood, just around 2 feet that should be pretty good. We would just move this out of the way. Get our screw driver and we are secure. So I would go ahead and repeat this on this hole and then every 2 feet all the way down and that would give me my every 2 feet. Then this would support it when I screw it into the wall.
