How to Use Shelf Mounts

I'm Tony Ramirez from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village this is how to build a cd rack. In my case a media rack. Let's go! So the next thing that I'm going to do is I'm actually going to use my shelf as a template So I have these existing holes from my old shelving that I had out. I'm not going to cover them because they are actually going to be covered by the DVDs so no need to cover up something that is no one is going to see. So what is really cool now because this is where I actually have my studs I can actually use these markers to mark where my new screws would go? So I guess I would use my shelf as a template. So I have this on, I have predone this already so I know where my lines are typically are leveled. So of course where we have the laser lines before right underneath we have, we are mounting the shelf back up there and then I would just get a little mark. Mark my spot so this right here is where I'm going to screw in my shelf holder. So hold on for one second. So with this one what is really cool is, let me show you one it is actually have an extension build into it. So this would hold on to the wall if there is not a stud back there. Even if there is a stud back there we can jam it in there and it is not going to come out. So I'm just going to use a regular drill bit and I would predrill the hole to make it big enough for the extension. Not to bad, clear it off just a little and go ahead and shove our hook right in the hole. There it goes just like that we have that in there. So now with my drill I would actually change the head back to the screwdriver bit. Again that is off camera of course. It is back on and grab one of my screws, back in the hole, give it a screw and that is it. So I would repeat this step for the following screws and the holders through the entire things actually then we would start mounting the shelves.
