I'm Tony Ramirez from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village this is how to build a cd rack. In my case a media rack. Let's go! So now what we are going to do is, I'm using my laser level to plan out the level of our shelves that we are going to be putting up. So I have my laser line pretty much close enough to my line that I predrilled with my 12 inch. I'm going to start in the middle of my shelving just so I can show you. I hope you can see the line pretty good. But what I have is a straight line so what I did is get my leveled and put it up to it to make sure that it was actually level. I would line it up here again and make sure that everything is leveled. Right around and get myself a good line this would be a good guide line just pencil mark that would actually show where my shelf would lay. So good thing to do is get preplanned just so you can have it, everything leveled. Now I would start putting on, with the straight line I could start putting my J hooks or my brackets that would be holding the shelves. So with this guide line here I would be able to screw into it. So that is using my laser level to get a nice flushed line so I can start putting on my shelves.
