Hi I am Kari Wethington for expertvillage.com. Today we are doing Writer's Guides Self editing basics. Here's another business related example where it is important to keep in mind who your audience is. If you are talking about something that is close to their heart, you want to make sure your spelling it correctly. For instance in this example, we have a place name. Here we have something that might be written in an email to a work colleague. On Friday, I will be in Morocco early enough to meet for a late lunch. Will you be available then to meet and discuss the contract details I sent last week? If you are trying to meet someone for a business lunch, you want to make sure you are spelling the place that they live correctly and if you have Morocco misspelled it is going to look pretty bad to your business colleague. So make sure you have things like that always spelled correctly. This is an example of something your spell check might not catch so it is always good to double check with your dictionary; there are some online sites that might have the answer but definitely double check it.
