Orchid Root Care & Maintenance: Part 3Some are just naturally broken from removing the plant from the pot. Where you make your cut, you will get then a new shoot of roots starting but at least you have removed the dead and decaying material which will contribute to disease, pests. You just basically want a healthy root structure with air being able to move through it.
