The G Major Scale on Bass Fiddle

On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Steve Anthony here in New York City, today we're going to talk a little bit about Country Bass Fiddle techniques for beginners. Now let's look at the G and C practice scales. These again, the same progressions on two different strings. (Audio demo) We can take a look at the sides so you can see the position markers if you have them on your Bass. (Audio demo) Now in this case those notes are G, B, D, E, F, E, D, B, G. And, if we move over one string, the same fingering position is the C scale. (Audio demo)
