Bass Fiddle Practice Scales

On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Steve Anthony here in New York City, today we're going to talk a little bit about Country Bass Fiddle techniques for beginners. Let's talk a little bit about some practice scales that'll help you get more familiar with the notes that you're going to be playing. You can rewind this and watch it and apply it to your own playing to see if you can follow along. But I'll just demonstrate a few of the scales in various keys. (Audio demo) That was an E and an A scale, it was essentially a Blues scale. But, let me show it to you from this side. You can see where the marker positions are. You cheat markers, if you like. (Audio demo) Now if you want to break that down, the notes that I'm playing are E, A flat, B, D flat, D, D flat, B, A flat, E.
